Aren't all spiritually good people vegetarians?
Laughing here, I'm spiritually good and I'm mostly a vegetarian. I would be completely a vegetarian if I had to kill my own food (I think). I do eat what is served to me when I'm at a friend's house, I don't holler a righteous eater "no", that's tantamount, in my book, to rudeness.
Your "spirituality" is your totality, asking you to be mindful of what you eat and why. Know where your food comes from and what's in it. I will be ever thankful for the people in Washington who gifted me beef, venison and elk, I enjoyed it every time.
AND, I do personally warn friends when they are serving "steak" that they can happily skip me. I like my steaks more than well done, I like mine grilled into jerky. That usually sets people who love beef off like a rocket. It's embarrassing unless it's not. My son will start my steak 20 minutes before everybody else's and laugh every time someone comments about the ruination of a cow, "It's the way she likes it." It is.
