I woke up one day and it hit me, boom, like lightening. I found that thinking only positive thoughts, positive memories, positive outcomes, almost erased entire relationships in my past. That was enlightening. I had to struggle to remember what I’d never worked to forget.

December 28 Wind chimes in neighborhoods are rude. They may sound wonderful. They’re still rude. They woke me up; it’s just too much. It’s difficult for me to attempt to stop the wind. There is so little silence; silence really is preferable. At the very least neighbors should vote. I hear sea glass clanging, bronze, tin, glass, brass, stainless steel, even wood. Literally, somebody has a wind chime I covet. That tone is real for me; it’s perfect. And . . . that still doesn’t make it any the less rude. That was a stream in my consciousness . . . read it really fast, that’s how I wrote it. Laugh . . . that’s how I talk sometimes too. January 8 The first misconception about karma is that it has to do with specific people, with specific souls. While that can be true, it is entirely unnecessary. The second misconception is that karma is good or bad. Karma has never been negative; karma has never been positive. That is impossible. We have recognized that being out of body requires control. Therefore, we make the assumption that we can't be dreaming and be out of body. That's even grammatically incorrect. We can most definitely be dreaming and being out of body. Eureka. That requires no psychiatric evaluation as long as we can keep our manifests straight. March 7 Epiphany is such a great word. It's far more than the church tells us; it's more than a feast celebrating the Magi's visit to the Christ child. Epiphany is a manifestation of the essence, or meaning, of something. It is a comprehension of reality. Reality can be a life-changing event every day; it's a matter of response to our own epiphanies. March 17 "Love at first sight" happens. It floods you with everything all at once from specific to general, amazingly answering any questions you could think important enough to ask your soul. That feeling appears to un-happen only when we find out that we were wrong. We hadn't thought of all the questions important enough to ask our souls. Ask yourself more questions and your partnership changes or your partnership changes. In truth, blame is a wasted effort. March 27 Finally, in some textbooks, there is a footnote to the group of psychological diagnoses involving hearing voices and seeing apparitions. It seems they might not be able to diagnose you diseased, *footnote, if the understanding is part of the socio/spiritual belief structure of your tribal clan. That is not a comforting thought, certainly not for an unquestionably middle-class white woman, raised in a southern suburb of the United States of America. |
