Providence, it turns out, at least in the Webster's College Dictionary, is "the foreseeing care and guidance of God or nature over the creatures of earth." Providence can't be over, or under, anything, even the creatures of the earth. If God is omniscient, if Earth and humanity are omniscient creations of God, then, that is impossible. Omniscience is omniscience, even in English.
